Please read these terms carefully before using the Rentz platform.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rentz platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using Rentz, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, browsing listings, or engaging in any transaction on Rentz, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rentz. By using our Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

User Accounts

Account Registration

To access certain features of Rentz, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
Keep your password secure and confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any behavior that we deem harmful to the Platform or other users. You may also close your account at any time through your account settings.

Property & Vehicle Listings

Creating Listings

When you create a listing on Rentz, you represent and warrant that:

You have the legal right to list the property or vehicle
All information provided is accurate and not misleading
Photos and descriptions accurately represent the item
The listing complies with all applicable laws and regulations
You will honor the terms stated in your listing

Prohibited Listings

You may not list:

Stolen or illegally obtained properties or vehicles
Items with false or fraudulent documentation
Properties or vehicles subject to legal disputes
Listings that violate intellectual property rights
Content that is offensive, discriminatory, or illegal

Listing Fees

Rentz may charge fees for creating or promoting listings. All fees will be clearly displayed before you confirm your listing. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Transactions

Role of Rentz

Rentz provides a platform for users to connect and transact. We are not a party to any agreements between buyers and sellers. Users are solely responsible for their interactions and transactions with other users.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of our payment partners. Rentz is not responsible for payment processing errors or disputes.

Disputes

Any disputes between users must be resolved directly between the parties involved. While we may provide support and mediation services, we are not obligated to resolve disputes or provide refunds.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Violate any laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
Harass, threaten, or harm other users
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Use automated tools to scrape or collect data
Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
Impersonate any person or entity
Engage in price manipulation or market manipulation
Use the Platform for money laundering or illegal activities

Intellectual Property

Rentz Content

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Rentz or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

User Content

By posting content on Rentz, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform. You retain ownership of your content but are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Rentz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of listings
We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform
We are not responsible for user conduct or transactions between users
Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to Rentz in the past 12 months

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rentz, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of others.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Rentz shall be resolved through:

Negotiation: We encourage users to first attempt to resolve disputes directly with us
Mediation: If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation
Arbitration: Unresolved disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration under Zambian law

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Zambia.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
